♥ The Agony
When I refused to confess my sin,I was weak and miserable,
and I groaned all day long.
Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me;
My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.

He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsaken them will have mercy. (Prov. 28:13)
My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent.

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

October 15, 1998
Jesus, break these strongholds
Tear down the strings of sins
Release me from my pride
Rescue me from these games
Restore me from the hurt
Renew my heart again.
There is also much healing when we confess our faults to another person for the purpose of prayer. The Bible says, "Confess your trespasses to another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:6). Ask the Lord to show you when it is right to do that. But choose a person who is trustworthy and won't use the information against you.
Always keep in mind that God's ways are for your benefit. Confession is not for Him to find out something. He already knows. Confession is for you to be made whole.
